The election campaign is in full swing and I've enjoyed taking part in a number of hustings events across the constituency. They are an important way for members of the public to scrutinise the positions of each party and candidates on various issues, as well as being an opportunity to grill us with questions. All of the hustings have been well attended so far and really helpful for all involved so thank you to the various groups that have invited me to take part. If you haven't been able to attend and would like to find out my view on a certain matter, please don't hesitate to contact me via social media or by email at: damiancollinsoffice@gmail.com
This week I have been campaigning across the constituency; with action days on Romney Marsh and in Hawkinge as well as a fantastic canvas of Hythe Town Centre on Saturday where Tory activists were out in force with myself and my predecessor, Lord Howard of Lympne. I was also up in Manchester to take part in debate on the future of the creative industries and lent my support to our superb candidate in Thanet South, Craig Mackinlay, who is running a great campaign for the Conservatives against Nigel Farage.
