Itinerary for community walk next Saturday, 28th February

On the 28th February I am leading a community walk from Dungeness to Folkestone and would be delighted if you could join me.

Below is a rough itinerary of the day, with timings depending on how quickly the group makes progress. Everybody is welcome and it's not too late to sign up. If you’d like to participate in the second half of the walk then our break scheduled for Dymchurch will be the ideal place to join the us.

Itinerary:

09:30 – Depart Dungeness Lighthouse.

12:30 – Congregate at the Royal British Legion in Dymchurch. A bite to eat and hot refreshments will be provided for all walkers. Anyone wanting to join the group for the walk to Folkestone can do so here.

13:00 – Depart Dymchurch.

14:30 – Meet up by Hythe Seafood Restaurant & Bar (Stade Street). Walkers will be met with some complimentary chocolate from Hendricks of Hythe to give them a timely and delicious energy boost for the final stretch.

15:30 – Finish at the Step Short memorial arch in Folkestone before heading to the Southcliff Hotel for refreshments and a few words of thanks by the Young Lives Foundation.

I'd like to thank in advance the Royal British Legion in Dymchurch, Folkestone's Southcliff Hotel and Hendricks of Hythe for their important contributions and for supporting the walk. Also if we can help anybody with a lift to the start-point in Dungeness please let my office know as soon as possible on 01303 253524.
